Do you struggle with chronic bloating, acid reflux, stomach pain or gut fatigue after everything you eat, at night, or even when you wake up with an empty stomach? This may be one of the worst feelings associated with gut dysregulation, and I know how you feel! Maybe it's time to start focusing on healing your gut lining and starting your day with a new routine...

Over the past few months, I have been travelling a lot, eating out more often than usual and neglecting some of my regular routines (which is totally okay and just a regular part of living life!). However, a few weeks ago, I realized my gut had gotten a little out of whack from all the busyness, and sometimes you just need a little reset and regulation. I was bloating all of the time, after every meal, before bed and even when I woke up. This can be due to a number of different factors, but I know that for me personally, a lot of times this has to do with my gut lining, so I try to focus on this issue and give my stomach the extra boost it needs.
I started drinking my "liquid bandaid" - 1/2 cup of warm milk ( of choice - for me it's non-dairy) with 1 scoop of collagen and 1 scoop of L-glutamine (sometimes adding cinnamon and alcohol-free vanilla extract if I want a little more flavor). I drink this first thing in the morning on an empty stomach on my morning walk or on the way to the gym, at least 30 minutes before I eat anything. I have been doing this for about a month and have seen a huge change in my digestion, bloating, acid reflux and gut fatigue. It's also such a yummy treat to start my day with and the warmth really helps to wake up my body while providing comfort and not sacrificing taste. You could also find a clean-sourced flavored collagen, like vanilla or chocolate, to really make it a treat!
Why may this work to heal your gut?
L- glutamine helps repair and regenerate gut cells, strengthens the intestinal barrier and reduces inflammation, and collagen has similar functions.
These tips have worked for me, and I am sharing them solely for educational purposes. This may not produce the same benefits for you, and you should always consult a healthcare provider before adding a supplement to your routine
